Teffont is a little village in Wiltshire, about 10 miles north west of Salisbury town center. The village is beautiful and very inviting, especially in the summer when the flowers are out and the trees alive.
We lived in the village for a few months in a rented cottage, and although it was enjoyable, it is quite a lonely place and if you keep dogs there aren't too many roads with paths for walking them on. However Dinton is just a short drive and dogs can be walked off lead in the grounds of Dinton House, which I believe is owned by the National Trust.
In Teffont Evias is a hotel, Howards House Hotel which looks beautiful from the front and the pictures – I've not been inside.
Chilmark and Tisbury are also within a short distance.
